This Privacy Policy describes how Tripcheep ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit tripcheep.com (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We do not require you to create an account. The search inputs you enter (origin, destination, dates, traveler count) are transmitted to our redirect service and then to partner booking sites. We do not permanently store your search inputs on our servers, except when you ask us for a search reminder (see "Search reminders" below).

On some search pages we offer to send you reminders about the search you just made, for example if you have not booked it yet or as your travel dates come closer. If you give us your email address or turn on browser notifications, we store it together with that search (route or destination, dates, travelers, the booking site you chose), your country, the time and wording of your consent, the identifier of the ad you clicked, if any, and a one-way hash of your IP address. We use this only to send those reminders; the hash only stops the form being abused. Emails and notifications are delivered by our partner Ocamba. On pages that offer notification reminders, Ocamba's script loads only when the reminder box opens after you click Search, because it is what asks your browser for permission. From then on it receives the address of the page (which can include the identifier of the ad you clicked), basic technical details about your browser and a session identifier, even if you continue without a reminder. You can unsubscribe with the link in the email or turn notifications off in your browser at any time. We keep reminder data for up to 12 months. To ask for its deletion, write to privacy@tripcheep.com.
When you run a search, your search parameters (origin, destination, dates, travelers) are passed to partner sites (e.g., KAYAK) via URL query parameters. Those partners' privacy policies govern how they handle your data once you arrive on their site.
We may share aggregated, anonymized analytics data with advertising partners. We do not sell your personal information.

We retain server logs for up to 90 days. Analytics data is retained per the default retention settings of each analytics provider (typically 14 months for GA4). Local storage items you create in your browser persist until you clear them or the TTL expires (24 hours for the geo cache). Search reminder data (your email address or notification subscription and the search it belongs to) is kept for up to 12 months.
The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at privacy@tripcheep.com and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
